Meet Carly Black, Registered Psychologist, providing child and adolescent assessments, interventions and neuropsychology-informed support.

About Carly

Carly holds a Bachelor of Psychology with Honours from The University of Wollongong and a Master’s in Clinical Neuropsychology from Macquarie University. Her background encompasses both research and clinical work at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead and the Sydney Children’s Hospital at Randwick, along with paediatric neuropsychological research at the University of Sydney. Carly has experience working with individuals across all age groups but mainly focuses on child and adolescent populations. Her client groups include those with acquired brain injury, ADHD, learning disabilities, neurology (such as epilepsy, tumours, and other brain disorders), neurosurgery rehabilitation, developmental and genetic disorders, dementias, and mood and behavioural challenges.

Carly is well-trained and experienced in administering psychometric, academic, and diagnostic assessments, including evaluation of IQ, academic achievement, memory, attention, executive function, language, visuospatial skills, and reading.

She has also co-authored papers published in peer-reviewed journals on neuropsychological outcomes in children with genetic disorders and electrophysiological measures of behaviour.
